How much do we have to do, how much do we have to put on the line, before they’re happy?
We were careless. We let criminals infiltrate our ranks as gym leaders. We let organizations, mobs, and cults form right under our noses. We were always just barely too slow to mobilize, always one step behind those we tried to pursue. As much as we hate to admit it, there is blood on our hands.
But did we not try? The Kanto and Hoenn incidents caught us by surprise, but since those days we’ve done everything I can for our citizens. We’ve sent our Champions, the strongest trainers in the regions, to be their protectors. Our gym leaders have done their best to keep their cities safe, and we’ve even allowed the global police force increasing flexibility in monitoring our affairs. They say they want change, a revolution. Do they think the answer to this crisis is more blood? Progress is a slow and steady march, and yet they shout and curse at their lack of instant gratification. Despite all we’ve tried, it’s never enough.
They seek to tear our homes apart, hoping whatever they can cobble together from the remains will be superior. How foolish they are.

The Pokémon League let danger knock on our door seven times.
That’s seven times too many. Rocket, Aqua, Magma, Galactic, Plasma, Flare . . . how many had to attack before we finally had enough? Why did the League just sit by and watch as again and again we were forced to stare down death? Our only protectors, in the face of terrorism, master criminals, and even godly beasts, were mere children.
Lysandre’s doomsday weapon was the final straw. Even with the entire region doomed to die, our so-called government simply sat on its hands. It was a sign that the League would never change, and that for the good of the six regions they would have to go. We spoke out, protested, and demonstrated, but they simply waved us away with empty promises. We knew if we wanted to stop them, we’d have to finally take action. It’s been a year and a half since we’ve rebelled against the Pokémon League, and while we see a long, brutal war ahead we hope it will finally force the League’s hands. Either they finally listen to us, or we get rid of them once and for all.
If blood, sweat, and tears are what it takes to bring the winds of change to our homes, then so be it. May our struggle not be in vain.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing. That’s all this goddamn war is.
None of us ever asked for this. We didn’t want to be dragged into some fight for how knows long. We’ve seen brothers feuding with brothers, friendships shattered to pieces, good people leaving their homes hoping to be heroes and coming back in caskets. It’s such a horrible waste of life.
Not even the teams that plagued us, not even Flare, have caused destruction on this scale. By trying to force us to bow to their wills, these “Boure” and “Zemina” extremists have only shed more blood than they’ve stopped. If nobody puts an end to this, we’ll just end up reducing all the regions to ruins. We don’t want to fight. That won’t solve a thing, and it’ll just lead to even more blood being spilled. We want to shine as good examples, rising above this war like a city on a hill. We need to provide shelter to those that have none. We need to demonstrate, spread our word to every home in every city. We need try and rebuild our lives as if this Arceus-forsaken feud never happened.
We are the real resistance. We are the real protectors. Please, help us.
