Hmm! Yessssss! Although Seth is a courier, he's only left mossdeep for just over a year or so, give or take. It's very possible that when he was young he would have gone on trips with his father to the various places across Hoenn, and would have met William one of those times? Say they really hit it off when they were young and he'd visit when his father was ever heading that way for his work. (I left his father's occupation out of the picture so it's a blank I can fill in later on, anyhow~) So say after Seth's father passed away, they lost contact for a long while until they got older or maybe lost contact entirely?

And their reunion is all like "AMG IT'S YOU WITH THE FACE" followed by the epic beatdown of some really pissed off pokemon? That way the connection is made, and they've both changed since they were kids and just have to exchange the new info so they can actually keep in touch since they're both always on the go? It'd be kind of adorbs to build up that established friendship and just see them explore how much they've changed since and play catch-up during the thread. AND A BRO HUG IS TOTALLY WELCOME OR SOMETHING WOO. <3 If we wanted to go really in-depth before we even start by brainstorming or just let the characters write themselves into that reunion, I'm good either way. Ahhhh I'm loving it already. ; w ;

He isn't hard to keep track of as he's usually at Rowan's lab or with Pearl and platinum possibly when she's taken.

and she'll probably get him souvenirs from really weird places, like a rubbing of an archeological dig wall or a fragment of a fossil. just a cool aunt that does weird cool things.

still, keeping tabs on her children students people is what she does, so expect a phone call once a week or so. XD

Outside of that, I would say that the two are probably close confidants in their stance on the war. I think the two of them see it in the same light and finds that it's meaningless and I can definitely see them bonding and becoming closer because of this. I've really had this fanatical idea lately of Steven rallying all the Champions and sort of mounting a rebellion of his own sort lmao.. but it has to start by getting close to the actual Champions on the board. Tell me what your thoughts are? I can imagine these two having nice banter, and maybe a friendly little exhibition match later on down the line since they've never battled each other in the past. c:

in all seriousness, though, i think a close friendship would sum up these two pretty well. because steven's also a neutral in the war, but he's also been a champion -- he would have known the difficulties of such a position better than anyone else, yes? moreso than red or any of the others lmao because they haven't been champions as long as steven or cynthia have been /shot

also yes exhibition matchessss c: cynthia still loves battling, but that's mostly been put aside for her myth research because she's looking for ~something~. but yes battling! =w=

It's actually funny that you said that Cynthia is collecting all of the Champions.. it's perfect, because I sort of had an idea for the former Champions of the board.. those that aren't really linked to Zemina that is. It's one of the primary reasonings that I wanted to plot with you and that I planned to touch basis with those characters that aren't aligned to a specific side so to speak. I kind of fancied the idea of maybe the former Champions eventually opposing the war and taking their own individual stance.. but I honestly think that it's something that would start with Steven and Cynthia's friendship. I love the idea of Steven and Cynthia being so close because not only are they older, but they've also been in this thing longer than Red and any of the other Champions.. so shot indeed. If Cynthia is after some sort of myth and doing some sort of research then I think that Steven may possibly be able to help her out with that if she opened up to him about it. I think she'd be one of the first ones that he would tell his true thoughts about the war and what stance he really wants to take. But yes! Like we discussed.. exhibition matches for the win! Maybe we can set something up with them just randomly having one for 'old times sake' and maybe that'll draw on the attention of others and reminds them of the days of old. Haha. Lets springboard off of our current thread and run with it, yeah? c:
