▶ HISTORY:
Born in winter was a little girl who started off with a life that seemed as though it would turn out all right, she was starting off good, born healthy, strong, beautiful. Crying and wailing with lungs that took in the air around her, warm air of a hospital and was swaddled and gently shushed by careful arms of a nurse who murmured that she was beautiful. It was a good start, a beautiful and wonderful start to a life that could and should have been good, because every child deserves that but it took a turn for the worst in minutes. Unknown to the now sleeping baby her mother fled, left, ran away and didn't look back once because of the fear of being a mother was too hard to bear. The hospital had no way of finding the mother of the baby, no way of contacting but it wasn't their job to do that because it wasn't illegal to leave your child here, it wasn't illegal to not want to be a mother. They called social services and in a few days time the newborn baby was shipped off to foster, a little baby girl who had nothing from her mother but a name that leads to nowhere.
For a few years she was happy in foster care, given to a family used to raising newborns and was paid to do so until the babies weren't nearly so expensive to take care of. She thought they were "mother and father" and didn't find anything strange about them wanting to be called their names, mother and father were words without meaning for a girl who grew up not knowing what that meant. At the tender age of three she was packed up to be shipped off somewhere else, little clothes put in a suitcase and toys dumped in a bag and a car out in the front to take her away from the only home she's ever known. She turned to say goodbye but the door was closed in her face and a woman with a fake smile was in front of her with a hand outstretched and promising a good life for someone with no place to go. Annie didn't understand, she had a place to go, a place she called home, but the door was closed and she was too small to reach and the blinds were closed and she swore could hear crying inside and she cried outside the door, hitting it until the woman with the fake smile grabbed her hand and stole her away.
It was like this for a few more years, going from home to home and sometimes it seemed like less time she spent in each place and the more she felt like she was alone and unwanted and just a piece of matter in a place that was too crowded for her. School was fine, it was stupid, she was too smart for it, too smart for everyone in her class and she felt like she was going nowhere fast. It was around the age of nine that she was pulled from school by a grouch of a foster parent, taken by the arm and lead to a place where she would learn the meaning of labor. She almost wished for school again when her first "paycheck" was stolen by greedy hands who itched to use her for a cheap way of making money. Hard labor was something she would have to get used to, because even as she was moved that stayed consistent, it wasn't bad and it wasn't great it was just something she got used to after a while at least until she found that she was done.
By age twelve she ran away, out of the foster system, away from anyone and she learned then that once she was away, once she was completely by herself she was nothing but another face in the crowd, another hungry mouth for everyone to feed, in the way and last place. She learned to hate the fact she was nothing which is why she is so determined to be someone, to be part of something big and looked up to by everyone. This is why she joined Boure, because she felt like this would be the best way to start off, she got her first Pokemon and started traveling, doing whatever she could to complete missions and get noticed and it just so happened that kicking butt and taking names seems to be her calling.
