▶ JOB/OCCUPATION:
Gambler; life on the road is one filled with opportunities for both loss and gain and luck like any other skill can be practiced into near perfection. Learning to read between the lines to ascertain which of the two is more likely in a situation is what makes for a gambler of legend. However, Crimsen is aware that lady luck can be a fickle mistress and does his best to keep contingencies on-hand in the face of a major loss. After all, any gambler worth his salt knows that a gambler is only as good as their last win weighed against their greatest loss.
Gentleman; ties and the occasional suit have rounded Crimsen's wardrobe since he came into a little money, though he's commonly caught in blazers and jackets with a tie instead. Some of the traditional ways of the gentlemen go ignored by the young man. He makes the distinction of being a 'Young Gentleman' so as not not be associated with the old men traditionally thought of when one mentions the title. Top-hats and monocles aren't his style but, he treats most strangers with an air of respect and dignity. He ensures that he is a gentlemen more so in his actions than in his style. Even his personal enemies (what few of them he has), know him to be an honest and slightly noble man. Though he actively shies away from the trappings of a gentleman like arrogance and materialism.

▶ HISTORY:
Born on November 7th and raised on Cinnabar Island, Sen Tokomaru witnessed many strange things growing up on Cinnabar and went on to became a pokemon trainer when the trade was at it's fever pitch in the Kanto region. During this time, one of Kanto's very own, a boy not much younger than Sen known as Blue () (grandson of Kanto's own world-renowned Professor Oak ) was making a name for himself as he defeated gym leader after gym leader eventually muscling his way to and through the Elite Four.
Likewise Sen began to carve out a path for himself with his main ambition being ascension to the status of one of Kanto's Champions. Unfortunately, every victory he manged was on the heels of another trainer seeking to defeat Blue and the Elite Four, and that trainer left the name of 'Red' () with everyone he defeated. Red's victories were such a jaw-dropping spectacle that anyone who faced another trainer after they faced (and lost to) Red could not acknowledge the full skill of their later opponents, even in defeat. Red's legacy became a living shadow that loomed over almost every battle Sen had. In defeat he felt like trash, and the 'high-profile' victories felt empty. Win or lose the results were always the same.
As good as he was... that Red would always be better.
After spending months traveling Johto and Hoenn and sharpening his skills he returned home to challenge the Cinnabar Island Gym. Much to his dismay, during Sen's time on the road it came to be that Red had actually come to Cinnabar Island and defeated it's gym leader, Blaine () in battle, moving onto the next gym leader just as swiftly as he'd arrived. The Island native felt a blow to his pride upon hearing Blaine brag about the scale of the fight with Red and how much he learned from the battle himself.
With the two of them being Cinnabar neighbors Blaine even went as far as to brush Sen off, claiming himself to be familiar with the boy's abilities and tactics. His words were clear; the battle with Red had changed him and made him stronger than ever. In order to defeat him Sen would have to be better than Red and Blaine showed no hesitation to inform the younger fire-trainer that he and Red were worlds apart. To this day the gentleman does not know if Blaine meant what he said or if he was simply lighting a fire under his young neighbor to make for a better battle.
In the end though, Sen made Blaine eat his words and his victory over the Hotheaded Quiz Master was met with two gifts though the boy honored one much higher than the other. First, he was given the Volcano Badge as proof of his victory. Last, Blaine bestowed upon him the nickname "Crimsen", and to this very day the name has stuck.
After the natural destruction of Cinnabar Island the young man traveled the regions never settling in one place too long. His nomadic lifestyle endeared him to many trades and skills outside of pokemon combat which he has used to amass a small (but growing) fortune. A mass majority of this fortune was won in a gamble following a heated pokemon battle against a one, Zillion Riches () while visiting Unova.
Upon return to Kanto in the onset of the war Crimsen tried to remain neutral identifying with Kopec's reasoning without formally siding with them. However he soon found himself casually floating toward Zemina's ideologies after a wave of unfortunate incidents involving the newly restored Cinnabar's new populace; brash and over-zealous backers of Boure. That coupled with his love affair with pokemon battles it was like the path to Zemina was marked with yellow bricks.
Today Crimsen exists as a hand of Zemina, albeit an unrecognizable one given he has no official job or standing with them. He knows with enough support Kopec could end the war but at this time, while the three are so evenly balanced in Kanto it would be a fools errand to face down radicals of Zemina or Boure under a banner of pacifism.
For now Zemina has his support, Kopec has his sympathy, and Boure has his home. The latter of which he intends to rectify.
