KIRYU, active
FEMALE STURDY HEAVY SLAM METAL BURST PROTECT MAGNET RISE | Kiryu was the first and originally only Pokemon Cain wanted to take with him when running away from home. She was always protective of the child, after all, and wasn't exactly a big fan of her trainer either. Kiryu is a calm and protective creature, whose intimidating appearance belies her more gentle, peaceful nature. However, that doesn't change the fact that Aggron are powerful creatures with ferocious tempers. She has a low tolerance for disobedience or cruelty, and often does her best to set her other teammates straight if they act out. In battle her role is usually that of the guardian, soaking up hits for her teammates and returning enemy hits with her Metal Burst. She gets along well with Mothra, glad to have at least one other less brutish team member to bond with. She also serves as a mentor to young Minya. However, she has a great distrust for Ghidorah and his minions, and works poorly in tandem with the brutes. |
GHIDORAH, active
MALE LEVITATE TRI ATTACK ROAR DRAGON PULSE THUNDER FANG | The second Pokemon Cain stole from his father before running off. Whereas Kiryu agreed to come with Cain due to him being young and vulnerable, Ghidorah was simply bored of sitting around and wanted a chance to explore the world and maybe get into a fight or twenty. He is chaotic, cruel, and as prideful as a peacock, often seeing himself as a great king of sorts. Sometimes a predator's mindset overcomes him, and he stops fighting seriously to toy around with his opponents and laugh at their suffering. However, he is surprisingly hard to anger. In battle his role is that of a straight-up destroyer, firing all sorts of attacks from his madly flailing heads. He gets along well with his minions Gigan and Megalon, often using them as bodyguards. He also has an odd fondness for Baragon, often stopping his minions from picking on the tiny Nidoking. However, he sees more stoic or irritable Pokemon like Kiryu or Battra as buzzkills. |
GIGAN, active
MALE DEFIANT PSYCHO CUT TORMENT FEINT ATTACK SWORDS DANCE | When Cain found Gigan he was a wandering Pawniard, a runaway who had become infamous around the area for pickpocketing and various acts of mischief. Naturally, a beating at the hands of Ghidorah both set the Pawniard straight and impressed him enough to offer his services to the team. Now he's Ghidorah's right-hand man. As cruel as a knife and quick as a whip, the bladed Pokemon excels in this wartime environment. However, he is also impulsive and independent-minded, often landing himself in trouble in his attempts to entertain himself. In battle he is the striker, often leaping from the shadows, assaulting his enemies, and quickly running before he can be caught. He sees Ghidorah as a mentor and inspiration, and also serves as a natural doubles partner to slower, brawnier Megalon. However, his pranks have earned the ire of many other teammates. For this reason whenever Megalon and Ghidorah are gone, he usually makes himself scarce. |
BARAGON, active
MALE RIVALRY DOUBLE KICK EARTH POWER VENOM DRENCH POISON JAB | Baragon was a mistake, a Nidoking evolved through a moon stone far, far too early. This left his growth stunted and his mentality childish, and meant his old trainer very quickly lost interest in him. Fortunately Cain took him in, and for that the little purple monster is eternally grateful. He's an excitable and innocent young creature, constantly exploring the world around him and trying to have fun with others. However, he is also too curious for his own good, and often gets distracted from thinking by more base instincts. Once he matures, however, his quick thinking will be a huge asset to him. His role in battle is rather versatile, but due to his small size and relative fragility he often needs a partner to cling to. He tries to get along well with every other member of his team, even loners like Battra or Hedorah. However, he's a bit scared of Gigan and Megalon, who enjoy picking on him whenever they get the opportunity. He refuses to stick around when they show up. |
MOTHRA, active
FEMALE SHIELD DUST PSYBEAM POWDER RAGE POWDER STRING SHOT | Mothra was one of a pair of bug Pokemon, passed along from trainer to trainer thanks to their relative lack of worth. However, she always tried to look on the bright side of things, sure that not all humans were so impulsive and that she would find a home one day. She is a rather gentle creature, and its incredibly rare to see her in an actual rage. However, that doesn't mean she isn't protective of others, and will take hits for even sturdier Pokemon if she cares for them. She often tries to serve as an emotional anchor for her teammates, calming them from rages and bringing them to peace if needed. In battle her role is fulltime support, distracting and wrapping up enemies so heavier hitters can get he job done with ease. She gets along well with most of her teammates, but is sometimes worried by how destructive they can be. She knows if Minya isn't raised right he can easily become very monstrous, and fears Hedorah slightly for her mere body being toxic to the touch. |
BATTRA, active
FEMALE TINTED LENS SIGNAL BEAM ZEN HEADBUTT POISON FANG SECRET POWER | Battra is Mothra's little sister and self-appointed guardian. While more desired by trainers, those who rejected Mothra often found Battra escaping as well. The constant trades poisoned Battra's view of mankind, seeing them as heartless beasts treating Pokemon as bargaining chips. This view extends even to Cain, and she often ignores his commands in battle to act on her own impulse. She is a loner, refusing to trust anyone but Mothra, and even Mothra earns her ire quite often. This makes Battra very tough to get along with, and while few have tried even fewer have succeeded. In battle she is unpredictable and fiery, often smashing at her opponents with everything she's got whether her trainer likes it or not. Battra's only true friend is Mothra, although recently she's been willing to tolerate Baragon's presence as well. Everyone else had better stay the hell out of her way, because the one thing worse than being stuck with annoying teammates is having them interrupt her fights. |
HEDORAH, storage
FEMALE STENCH GUNK SHOT CLEAR SMOG TOXIC SPIKES PSYCHIC | Some of Cain's Pokemon have sad stories in their past. Some have huge battling pedigrees. Hedorah is just a random scavenger who chanced upon the group, saw all the battlefelds they wandered through, and decided to follow in search of tasty, tasty trash. After seeing the same Trubbish toddling toward their newest rest stops, Cain gave in and caught the thing. It doesn't talk much, and nobody on the team can ever tell what it's thinking, but one thing's for sure: it just keeps growing. He's just given up trying to explain or control the thing by now. He just lets it scavenge for garbage wherever the group goes. In battle Hedorah is an unstoppable wall, absorbing punishment by the bucketload while slowly whittling enemies down. Nobody really gets along with Hedorah, but other than being kind of wigged out by her nobody dislikes her either. She's just a complete and total enigma to everyone else. And honestly? They think she kinda likes it that way. |
MEGALON, storage
MALE GUTS DIG ARM THRUST MEGAHORN FEINT | Some Pokemon are just a few hammers short of a tool shed. Megalon is one of them. The big brute often followed Gigan around during his wandering days, roughing up anything the little pawn couldn't handle on his own. Now, however, the two are on much more equal terms. Megalon's a bit of a goofball, laughing at pretty much anything he sees and often joking around with his other teammates. He's also a bit of a follower, obediently carrying out what others say rather than taking his own initiative. However, while he normally seems pretty relaxed, he can get downright furious in the right situations. In battle Megalon is aggressive and often puts pressure on enemies, allowing for shadier teammates to strike true. Megalon's attempts at being friends with others are often hampered by him being a bit of a bully. Still, Ghidorah finds the bug's antics entertaining enough, and of course his friendship with Gigan is of legendary proportions. |
MINYA, storage
MALE GUTS IRON TAIL STONE EDGE SCREECH SCARY FACE | Minya was the final Pokemon Cain took with him when he escaped from home. Just an egg at the time, Cain saw lots of promise in the little thing due to being the child of his father's incredibly strong Tyranitar. However, warrior's blood doesn't necessarily make someone a warrior. In Minya's case he is a small, peaceful creature, just as likely to want to make friends as he is to actually fight. He is scared of his own power, and often refuses to use his own attacks out of fear of what they can truly do. In fact, when battle rolls around he often just hides behind Mothra or Kiryu. Cain knows he'll eventually have to harden the Larvitar's heart, just as having to escape from home hardened his own heart. In a way, they're kindred spirits. Most of Cain's team doesn't have a huge opinion of Minya, considering he's just a kid. However, Kiryu and Mothra serve as guardians to the Larvitar, helping him adjust to the new world and learn how to command the power of the monstrous Tyranitar that lies within. |
