everyone has had this thought and i will take no blame, we choose what makes us glow
all the fishes...splashing about. splish splash splish splash. those are only the ones that bother making it up to the surface. more often than not, it's actually nanami's lone bobbing lure that fills the otherwise tranquil morning with sound. splish...splish... splosh. she's hooked something. the quiet gengar beside her makes no attempt to help her pull in her line. nanami might have protested if he did. this catch is hers. she struggles with the burning sensation in her palms for a little while before she manages to drag a goldeen ashore. it's not a particularly dangerous creature. especially not while flopping about on the ground. nanami loses interest quickly. she grabs the fish by the tail, and-- --throws it back into the ocean, the sea water swallowing up her child as if they had never left. the goldeen is not the only thing in the waters today. and for nanami to make any difference in humilau city's stores, then she'll need to be doing much more than simply throwing her catches back into the water. a presence underneath nanami flicks its tail, and a wave ripples its way past her feet and out to the sea. something tugs on her rod. once, twice. it won't matter if nanami tries her best to pull, or even if the gengar helps -- the rod will be snatched out of her hands, dragged into the water, not to be seen until, perhaps, it washes up ashore. but that is a bleak possibility. truly, her fishing rod is gone. nanami
