"to never get old." | |
Annie thought it was funny, really, how only a few years ago everyone around her, at least in her Region, spoke only of Pokemon and their relationships towards them, even the great Region of Unova cared so much about their Pokemon that their own team, Team Plasma, has risen up in their claim that they would free Pokemon from people, and people had bought that. But now, oh now Pokemon were taking the backseat so to say, they were being used as tools for war, helping each side fight a war that was instead for the good of the people. The very same people who talked like they knew what was best for Pokemon were suddenly up in arms about how people had been treated? Annie didn't understand how the world worked, but she did understand surviving and fighting and being in danger and that was the type of high she thrived in. She didn't care about the war, about who she fought, she was fighting for herself, fighting to become the top, the one everyone looked up to. She would be the fighter they admired, she would be famous and not another face in this crowd. She could fight for either side and none of it would matter, she picked this one because she was there in Kalos when the fighting broke out and she happened to see an opening, when some would rise she would rise with them, she'd show everyone just how strong she was and that she wouldn't be someone you just pass by. Annie walked in Castelia, unafraid by the fact that she was in a city that was often claimed to be a city that has no hope left in it, the crime rates were sky high, people were getting killed and Annie didn't know if she should help out, because it was the Zemina's problem after all. People were afraid to leave their houses most days around here, in fact most normal people had probably fled the city, pretending as if they never lived here and tried to move on with their life where they can still live in yesterday as if it was still safe for them to go out anywhere. As if Pokemon were still the thing of today and not war machines for tomorrow. Annie didn't view her Pokemon was war machines, merely a means to the end and some she even considered close to friends but that would hinder her performance in battles, she needed to think of them as her way of getting to the top, or of helping people. If she put her Pokemon in harms way she couldn't be frightened for them, it was part of the job, and she needed them to complete it and they had survived this long with strength that was beyond her own comprehension. They trusted her, listened to every command, barely wasted a time in reacting but Annie...Annie didn't trust them, she trusted herself in pulling off the correct orders, she was not a master even after being a trainer for a year and a half, she was decent at it, knew the pros and cons of her Pokemon well enough to get by. The fourteen year old walked the streets, hand on a Pokeball the whole time in case someone tried to do anything to her so that she could make a quick get away or even just battle depending on the situation she was in. She felt she was prepared but she also felt like that as a Boure in this Zemina infested crap hole she needed to really judge this city with her own eyes, see how bad it was before reporting if the situation really was as grim as some tried to say. As of right now she's run into no issues but she had really just started walking, there was no telling the dangers she might get herself in right now. But if she was going to ever be considered an importance to this war she had to take chances, and this was one she was definitely willing to make, the price of becoming famous wouldn't you know it? NOTES:My first post here with Annie.~ Anyone is welcome to just barge on in here and screw up her day if you want, but she's a real brat just so you know. TAGGED: none |
