THROW THE METAL IN THE WATER AND COME DANCING WITH US silas / m / 25 / kopec / demisexual / author FRIENDS Silas isn't usually one for socialization, but when he does deal with others, he's polite enough. The problem is that, well... he's not too good at social interaction. He stares a bit too intently into other people's eyes, he gets up and leaves without saying goodbye, and his idea of a compliment is telling someone that their eyelashes look very strokeable. If you can get past that, though - maybe because you're just as weird, maybe because you appreciate his writing - Silas is actually a fairly dependable friend. He tends to lie a lot about small things, but he usually tells the truth when it's important, and he'd certainly never betray someone he's close to, regardless of their allegiance within the war. He's only reluctantly political, as well, so his few friends fall within various ranks and groups. ENEMIES An almost eerily levelheaded man at times, Silas isn't one to hold a grudge or start fights. There are plenty of others, however, who find him creepy or just awkward, and some resent him for the fact. The reception of his written work, meanwhile - particularly that done lately, for Kopec - hasn't all been positive, and there could be critics out there who'd be up to take things personally. LOVES A person with so few friends is likely to have even fewer lovers, and this is certainly the case for Silas. Not that he minds, of course - he doesn't see any need for a romance at this point in his life. Any such relationship would have to be taken very slowly, beginning as a close friendship. william + silas: the awkward ducks

iunno, i just wanna throw these two together ok. william is a doctor that moonlights as a kopec mercenary, so if he was hired to get something to silas/do something in kalos/etc i think they might have ended up meeting. they're both a tad uncomfortable with socialization, so they can be the awkward ducks in the corner talking about the weather or something.

and yeah, william's been described as odd before, but that's mostly for his inability to settle down somewhere and call it home. he doesn't mind the small lies, since he does it too, and he'll appreciate silas' honesty when it comes to things that matter. for his part william'll always be on-call for him if he needs a doctor/a mercenary/etc, and he'll be a good person for silas to hang around without being judged or anything like that, since william... doesn't care that much about things like that lol.

I think this could work out - as much as Silas acts like he needs no social interaction, it'd help him a lot to have someone to talk to sometimes. Would William do work as a driver/bodyguard type? Maybe Silas gave some sort of interview about his affiliation with Kopec and needs to make a long journey back home, and William ends up assigned to protect him during transport? They could definitely be awkward conversation buddies.

Does that sound reasonable? Silas takes a long time to form friendships, but I think these two might get along.


EDIT: I just saw the "Watch and Learn" mission in Kalos for Kopec. That seems like it could be a low-key way for the two of them to interact, as well?

william would actually be pretty recommended as a driver/bodyguard, since he can actually do proper first-aid lol. /shot

he might even just escort silas back home if he knew about him beforehand and he was going to kalos in the first place, or even just because y'know, kalos and relief efforts and all that. awkward conversation buddies ftw!

any friendship between these two will probably be interrupted by william constantly wandering off and popping up again, but yeah i can see these two really getting along <3
