Daniel is a man about business and what's good for business. As a result, he's not one to put too much time aside for friends. Pleasure, certainly, but dedicated friendships require a bit more of his time than he can usually afford. As a result, most friendships are reserved for business partners, competent members of his gang, and maybe a couple casual acquaintances from growing up.

Still, Daniel likes the finer things and being comfortable. As a result Daniel probably has a handful of just "hey I want to get drunk" friends or people he in general calls up for a good time after a day of work. So yeah, most of Daniel's friends are going to be more like party buddies, with very few people he'll take time out of his day to help or support. Those few who manage to get into his inner circle either through business or their own merit will find a powerful ally, but may just as easily find themselves a furious enemy if things go sour.

Growing up where a fair number of people that you meet could rob you or otherwise inconvenience you, Daniel has -- rather than escape the environment -- learned how to inconvenience other people worse. He has stolen from, fought, and otherwise set back many many people. And, as the leader of a large portion of Goldenrod's underground he's hurt people of all backgrounds. So, enemies are a possibility in a lot of different ways.

Otherwise, stepping away from his acts as the leader of his gang, Daniel is a temperamental guy more than happy to start a physical fight over just about anything. He likes being on top, and he likes to get to the top through sheer force. Many encounters in this guy can go sour on a pin drop, and as a result he's got a lot of enemies from just short encounters, and can make more by the day. Finally, if you stab him in the back you'll have an absolutely vicious hate coming your way.

Just like with friends, Daniel enjoys the pleasure of having a person to share his bed -- and maybe the occasional meal -- but hasn't tried very hard to find any kind of special someone, and doesn't have it on his list of priorities. A casual lay and a few one night stands are most of what you'll find with him. If you expect more, you better expect to work for it.

Throw anything relating to his gang and upbringing here. Fellow street urchins, goons both good and bad, power struggles with other underground faces, allegiances with different faces. I don't know. Throw them here. He may also have some half-brothers/sisters running around, but I haven't put much thought to it.

▶ DANIEL FIDLER “ So the idea of this Daniel's character in relation to Steven is so polar opposite that I couldn't resist plotting out some sort of interaction or dynamic between the two of them. So Daniel likes the finer things in life and Steven Stone is pretty much one rich S.O.B. They're both Kopec, but despite this I foresee them having a rough start to begin with. Hateships from within the same faction. I figured this could stem from maybe Daniel trying to steal from Steven. He is into thievery and taking from the rich and giving to himself correct? All about the money? If it's in his character, I definitely foresee him trying a heist on Steven which could be interesting I think and could serve as a basis of developmental plot between the two of them.. especially if they ever have to cross paths on missions or anything outside of the little personal heist. The two are like two polar opposites, but I firmly believe in the saying 'Opposites Attract', so I definitely think as a start we should see where a heist could go with them. I definitely imagine it'd be a rough path starting off with them, so definitely enemies in the beginning.. but I would like to see them eventually develop out of that with time and of course great plot devices in between. steven stone I think your idea of a heist would almost have to be a flashback, and it likely wouldn't be a heist on just Steven, it would likely be a raid on a Devon Corp lab or something. Daniel is all about getting more money, but he's also not one to go out and risk his own neck on some small job. And to him, no matter how much money or information they have, stealing from one person is a small fry job. But, if he was contracted to try and steal something from Devon Corp he would go with to make sure everything went according to plan. So, unless Steven makes a business of visiting labs without his father's knowledge or something, it would have to be a like ~2 year back flashback.

I would also like to put out the reminder that Daniel doesn't REALLY care about Kopec and doesn't REALLY see himself as part of the cause or as some kind of pacifist who hates war. He's sitting on the fence to make more money and for the ability to sell out and for both sides.

Finally, I don't think Daniel will ever REALLY like Steven. They may attract one another on accident from time to time, but rich kids and this slum brat have never really got along. This goes doubly for rich kids with strong morals. Like it says in the plotter, Daniel is all about business, and most of his inner circle and those he would truly call "friends" are people who have contributed to his business or are a direct part of it. Still, this isn't to say that NOTHING will happen, just that you're absolutely right in saying it'll be rough. Either way, I'm all about at least threading that heist and any confrontation there.

▶ DANIEL FIDLER “ A flashback is fine. Steven's a pretty 'do as I please' adult, and since he doesn't exactly have the best relationship with his father ( *points to his bio* ), I can definitely see him visiting the labs without his father knowing. If there's one in a city that he's visiting in passing, I can't imagine that he wouldn't want to stop by to just simply check in.. even if his status as future CEO is on the fence. Despite the disconnect that he has with his father, he'd still be on board with not seeing the Devon Corporation undergo any sort of corruption or have a slumdog thief raid it. I'm perfectly fine with them being enemies.. Steven needs them.. can't be favored by everyone. I think the fact that Daniel's just an 'errand boy' for any side of the war that pays him is pretty interesting, and that's enough for Steven not to care for him. He'd be labeled as someone that doesn't contribute. I guess I overlooked that part of your information, so maybe they will just end up as solid enemies. I guess I don't have much more to add other than the fact that when I clear up another thread slot, I'll let you know and we'll make the flashback happen. If anything, he can happen upon the heist as it's occurring in the flashback and intervene.

steven stone Yeah, Daniel is one for profit > cause so there's very little reason for him to contribute to Kopec. Why end a war when it's lining his pockets? Anyway, I'm all about enemies and think this sounds about as concrete as it gets. So yeah, just hmu when you've got a free spot and we can talk who starts.
