we're having a little bit of trouble with battles, so let me clear some things up for you guys.
you may use one offensive action and one defensive action for a post, for each pokemon. ex: swords dance and close combat. alternatively, you may dodge ONE move and use one defensive or offensive action for a post, for each pokemon. ex: dodge, and close combat, or dodge, and swords dance.
an offense attack is just that- an attack that damages a pokemon. (tackle, water gun, stone edge). a defensive attack is basically anything else. status moves, stat boosting or lowering techniques and anything of the like (swords dance, confuse ray, telekinesis).
also: about dodging. when a move comes your way, you are either hit, or you dodge. there is no in between, or "shrugging it off." (unless you have boosted your defense/special defense, the attack will do the same amount of damage, no matter if it "barely hits your pokemon.")
there have been a few instances where these rules have been broken-- we are not asking you to edit, but next time we see it, we will ask you to edit your post appropriately and if it continues after that, we may have an issue.
thanks guys! and have fun with your event!
