“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” He took Eva by the hand and slipped into the darkness of a nondescript building. Closing the door behind them, his fingers groped the walls for a switch. One, two, and then there was light. The curtains had been drawn across their respective windows and only by the illumination of a weak lightbulb, were they to conduct the next phase of their mission. The mixers, microphones, everything was set-up for them: arranged and prepared weeks in advance. Boure had transferred the particular equipment into the area at an irregular schedule and on separate days. Finally, things were in the right place, at the right time. A hat lay on top of his messy blond hair; only the smell of shampoo and conditioner wafted from his loose locks. The rest of his outfit was plain, homely but on top of the bridge of his thin nose were sunglasses--one could only guess what the pricetag was. By that filter, he conducted his business and laid a peculiar looking device on the table and extended its antennae. He switched it on and as the device's LED lights began to flicker he nodded towards Eva and took his seat. "What time is it? Radio show's supposed to start in a few minutes or so." He pushed the radio-jammer away and adjusted the mic match the level of his lips. "If you press that button over there, it'll play the usual intro-music for the program we're 'replacing.' Just need to say that we're filling in for DJ Ben, today."
Smiling with his eyes hidden behind the tinted shades of his sunglasses, he spoke to her. "You can do that, right? DJ... Eva?"TAGGED Eva AubadeNOTES While everywhere else will have the usual radio program by DJ Ben playing, only Pewter City will have this 'special' broadcast. MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

There were many ways Eva expected to start her day. Holding hands with a hunky idol and sneaking into a radio tower for a secret broadcast was not one of them. Still, Eva was more than happy to fulfil her civic duty for Boure, especially in such an entertaining way. The people of Pewter needed their ears opened, and soon the whole world was going to see that the stage was her natural domain.
Unlike Curtis, she looked about the same as she usually does. Bright, cheery outfit, big hat, pink hair done up to perfection. Not like she spoke much when outside, after all. If she did Zemina would be able to put a name and a face together. As is, the voice of Eva Aubade drifted over the radios free from any boundary, while at night the silent, deadly Nocturne crept about, Pokemon that were her dearest companions in day her deadliest partners at night.
While Curtis set up the radio jammer, Eva's Pokemon were hard at working making sure the rest of the room was set up. Maestoso quickly leaped to and fro, cleaning the room impeccably with viciously precise strikes of a feather duster. Crescendo and Giocoso hefted furniture with incredible might, bringing everything into position for the best acoustics and most uninterrupted signals.
"Of course I can! Ready?" she said, leaning back and preparing her last minutes of freedom before the show started. And once Curtis gave his okay, it'd be time for the show. Eva flicked the switch, casually stretching a bit as she waited for the introductory music to start.
"Thanks for tuning in, ladies and gentlemen!" she replied when the song stopped. "DJ Ben's a bit sick, but to make it up for you all we've got a bit of a special gift for you. I'm DJ Eva, and I'm here with one of Unova's hottest stars: give it up for Christoph!"
And so it all began.

the radio jammer worked fine. anyone outside of pewter city would receive the regular dj ben session. inside pewter, however, was a different story. most people went along with the deception, curious as to the reason of why dj ben would be out for the day, but they were quickly distracted by the mention of christoph. there would be no trouble with them. others were moving in the shadows, suspicious of the lack of dj ben at first -- those in the know -- before they realized that christoph was on air. then they disappeared, with plans to move and investigate. before all of that, however, was christoph -- curtis' -- and eva's small window of opportunity to spread boure's messages. they would do well to make the most of it, as much as they could. (somewhere, the lights flickered, but they didn't need to know that.) curtis fox Eva Aubade

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” Curtis gave her the good ol' thumbs up. He steeled himself and as his eyes traversed the equipment set-up before him, he spotted a little note on the soundboard. Simple instructions and a label adorned the paper, but the handwriting struck him immediately. He lifted the image of sophia's autograph from his mind and matched its distinctive penmanship to the note's. Although he could be entirely wrong. Regardless, a small smile welcomed his lips and as DJ Eva started the show, flicked on the introductory music and charismatically welcomed their new audience. Curtis played some fake applause as he settled into his seat. "Thank you, thank you! Glad to be here! Too bad DJ Ben's sick. Hopefully he gets better soon but," his voice thickened, "you're no second-fiddle!" He laughed, but his eyes were shaded behind tinted lenses. "You know, I just came back from doing some volunteer work! I've been helping out at some soup kitchens around the region. Gotta thank Boure for giving me the opportunity! Even during this crazy time, we have to make sure we look after each other, right?" He asked, but it was as if he was directing his words to the DJ before him. Though this little anecdote may be nice for the general populace, the more influential sympathizers were likely ones with plump wallets and black credit cards. He wasn't lying about his work. After all, this had been in planning for many months. "Also, thanks to some efforts by Boure, I'm happy to announce that Pewter City's going to welcome imports of the finest goods straight from Nimbasa City! Everyone knows that Nimbasa is the place to be if you want to follow the latest trends, but now, you can purchase the hottest fashions, jewelry and beauty products in your local mart for a limited time!" Christoph exclaimed, "Pretty cool, I think."His voice matched the energy of hers. MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

This guy was good.
Many would see Christoph' talk as mere frivolities, but there was a lot of value to be had in life's finer things. In these dark times the people needed distractions, less for any bread and circuses and more simply to keep themselves sane in the face of such mounting tension. As silly as some found it, many saw these little luxuries as something to keep pressure down and spirits up. Besides, imports would be killer for the Kanto economy. In a wealthier district like Pewter, such news would easily get the ears of investors primed and ready.
Boure didn't need to be saints. They just needed to be on top. And with her livelihood on the line, Eva would use any verbal weapon in her little black book to ensure that.
"You've got that right! These are tough times we're living in, after all. If others aren't going to step up, the community might as well do anything it can to support itself." It was perfectly clear who the others Eva meant were, even if she wasn't so upfront about it. In her mind, the seeds of dissension were best sewn unconsciously, letting others feel like they're coming to the same conclusion. An orator's art was one of subtlety first and foremost.
"And did you hear about those excavation efforts back at Mt. Moon? You wouldn't expect it in times like this, but it seems like Boure's helping keep the fossil digs alive to this day. Good to see there's always someone keeping an eye out for Pewter's pride and joy.
You know, it's been a long ride over here, Christoph. What do you think of Pewter so far? Liking what you're seeing?"
This was the easiest trick in the book. Get a celebrity to talk about how great your town was. Even a talk show between a Zoroark and a Chatot could get this part right. And if they gave credit to the right people, who knows what associations they'd end up forming? It was all finesse, saying the right thing at the right time. curtis fox EVENT
