▶ BASIC INFORMATION.
▶ Eva Aubade, Boure. Goes by "Nocturne"
▶ NAME:
Eva Aubade. She makes up a lot of fancy middle names for herself, but in actuality has none.
▶ AGE:
Nineteen.
▶ GENDER:
Female.
▶ HOMETOWN:
JOHTO, Goldenrod City.
▶ AFFILIATION:
Boure. Eva sees the chance of pushing out the league as an opportunity to seize a new life for her and her father. Maybe the war can do what years of musical skill cannot.
▶ JOB/OCCUPATION:
By nighttimes, Eva is a propagandist for Boure. She attempts to battle sometimes, but behind a radio is where her strengths really shine. By day she simply practices her instruments and song, trying to claw her way out of poverty.

▶ HISTORY:
Eva never really knew a time when life was easy. Surely there were such moments when she was just a child, where her father Jonathan was still a wealthy businessman whose art supplies lit up the walls of the Goldenrod Department Store. He had it all. Fame, fortune, connections, a good life for his most precious wife and only daughter. Maybe one day he'd retire, but there was still so much to be earned. If he could only last a little longer . . .
A shame tragedy cut such a promising start short. Dollar signs blotted out common sense as a new up-and-coming manufacturer promised a world of affordable, gorgeous paints. It seemed like a perfect partnership, but when Jonathan's business partner was revealed to be smuggling supplies on the cheap over the Kanto-Johto border, their fortunes were ruined by scandal and shame. Soon the family was left on the streets, Eva barely old enough to remember the prosperity her family left behind.
Instead she grew up dealing with the consequences of her fathers' short-sightedness. Clothes and food were hard to come by, and the closest thing they had to a home was living at Eva's grandmother's house. The worst, however, was the stigma of Jonathan's business blunders. It got to the point where he would refuse to leave the house, sure that even if he was mistrusted forever at least his relatively anonymous wife and child would be accepted. It was a hard struggle, but they were surviving it together and that's what really mattered.
Still, Eva was never fully happy. Overhearing conversations between her parents clued her in to the life she was unfairly robbed of, and she couldn't help but harbor some bitterness toward both her father and the people who stole her life away. The fact that there was nothing she could do about it was the icing on the cake of deep-seated irritation. At least, of course, it was until she entered schooling. When she was young she discovered two important things about herself. The first was that she had a natural knack for music and rhythm. The second was that, when you finally give people a reason to notice you, they will.
Shy, insecure Eva died that day, and in her place rose a glorious phoenix of talent and confidence. She finally had something to flaunt, something to claim as rightfully hers. It felt incredible, and while her talent got to her head a little it also won over quite a few friends she wouldn't have had the guts to approach otherwise. Her greatest victory, however, was when she put two and two together and realized that her talent could lead to much greater things down the road. Namely that, if her talents were honed to an art, she could possibly even plunge her family out of their long-standing misfortune.
It has been years since she's made that decision, and Eva has been tirelessly chasing her dreams ever since. However, progress is a slow, exhausting march, and fame and fortune arise only on their own capricious whims. Eva was good, especially for her age, but never top percentage and definitely never in the running to be a superstar. Frustration mounted at her own failures, and she found herself desperately hoping for some stroke of fortune to come along and change her fate.
Such a stroke of fortune, ironically, was what so many others would consider the exact opposite. When the war rolled around, Eva saw it as the tragedy it was. But she also saw it as a great opportunity, a last desperate effort to pull herself out of the hole her family was stuck in. Boure sought to create a brand new order, and Eva just knew if she would aid them in creating it she could be one of the first to reap its rewards. Besides, their need for propagandists put Eva right in her natural environment: the soundstage.
With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Eva knew she had no choice but seize this opportunity before it slipped right through her fingers.
